Well I can say that nowadays analog stuff is better than it was prior to 30 years ago. Vinyl sounds clearer (probably due to better pressing, and because a lot of tracks are made digitally first), and analog mixers are better (like from Ecler or A&H), and many people prefer them to the limited number of digital mixers (the only truly digital mixer seems to be the DJM 800).
Digital files have their ups and downs, but I think a WAV file sounds cleaner than some of the vinyl records out there, because vinyl attracts dust and it can harm the quality of the record over time, plus no popping or crackling noises.
Analog or Tube TVs are poor, Digital TVs (HDTVs..plasma, lcd) are much better and I'de say are the future. So the future is digital, but there are some really good analog equipment out there, esp DJ technology. So the line hasn't been completely drawn yet, but people will have to drop analog stuff in the future. They will be antiques..and probably worth something..probably more than digital i'de say, like old cars...
