I rarely look at the BPM counter of CDJ's, maybe just a quick reference to see what tempo I'm working with but that's about it.

u should try setting up the range for the counter to work in.

but yeah. kind of unreliable, because they only use the bass to detect the speed of the beat. So if u have a complex bassline or cut out the bass, they kind of struggle.
