Get some mounting brackets for the wall and mount them flush with the angle to the wall being 90 degrees (flat to the wall pointing straight out).

Just assuming that when a label has a track mastered they are using equipment that is much more intricate than a three band EQ, so you should play your tracks with the EQs all at 12 o'clock as a general rule.

eh?

are those belt driven turntables??? Can't tell from the photo.

they'd better not be. I'll be really pissed off if they are. Maybe the ones i saw at the store were replicas of these.

Yea get some stands this should solve your problem. Right now the way you have it the sound from the Left speaker is hitting your ears before your right or visa versa. get some stands and put you speakers equal distance from where you stand when DJing. Im supprised you arnt getting any feed back from having your speakers so close to your needles like that.

Also you should try to keep your eqs at 12 o clock, this gives you full +/- 12 dB control over your sound. Another thing is to watch your gain levels. Try to keep things at unity or the 0 mark. Also turn the volume knob on the back of your speakers up all the way. By doing this you give yourself full control of the volume at the master fader.

Hope this helps things.

Haha... try playing out at a club! It's TOTALLY different sound-wise... so loud, and at times it's like "I have no idea WTF is going on"

But you'll get the hang of it... practice and just relaxing and not thinking about it much will help.

And yes, as was stated stands will help! I bought mine at Circuit City for around $40-50. I have RP-5's though, so you should make sure they can handle the 8's.
