im using 4 of a ten band eq, boost around 50-60,cut around 80-90,cut around 800-900 boost around 3000-4000 with a high shelf, the rest band pass...

try that on ur kick, different kick will give different results but sure y not.....

Get many samples, and start layering.

Take your two best kicks, put together, EQ, play around with alot stuff. Layering can really help.

I made the kicks by layering 3 kicks together. One for the snap, one for the bass and the other is a gated kick for warmth. I'm also shit at basslines. Each time I try something different it never seems to fit in as well as the old 'oompa'. Any opinions/suggestions?
