I think you are exactly right. There are those who love electronika and there are those who cant stand listening to it over and over again. I love trance no matter what... but for those who dont, throw them a pill.

There are lots of people who enjoy Fragma and ATB, for instance.
This is "light Trance." It's very accessible.
In addition, I think everyone likes some form of dance/club music!

i enjoy fragma and atb! i also enjoy airwave and deep dish. throw in some pvd, tiesto, push, ferry and some deep progressive funk trance and you've got me hooked!

i think that in order to like trance you just have to understand the deep bassline and the emotions it carries. rap doesn't carry emotions. neither does pop (i might be wrong though). there's nothing to think about with rap/pop/not talking about rock. some people just can't get a hold of all the things trance offers. they can't allow their mind to escape, set itself free. and i don't care. i'm selfish. there's more for me. i can escape and that's all that matters. their loss...

daaamn, 7? i barely got one guy to listen to and like sandstorm, but that's as hard and deep as it got for him. i'm also a supplier of deep trance to my sister's boyfriend, but he's not really into it.

That is true to some extent. You can say that about every genre: Rap, hip hop, country, jungle, house, etc. A better way to look at it is either you love trance or you love something else more so that you don't listen to it or know about it.

i belive that everyone loves trance , they just don't know it. Its just that in this sterotypicial age people are forced into what they want to listen, its like smoking , if you see your friend doing it your gonna do it especially at a young age, if your friends like grunge music and he / she dresses like a gimp then your gonna look like that , unless you have a strong personality and dont let this so 'called' fashion take over. Its like role models, as soon as MTV play a video and rolemodel is wearing baggy pants then were all doing it. If paul van dyk had a chain hanging from his pants would you ??
you can't be them but can look like them ? its all in the mind and Trance music relates to this freedom. rozzer.

The people that thinks trance sucks is the people that have only heard techno and think that its trance.

I love trance period. However there are some trance songs that I don't like. There are many different types of trance like psy or goa or even acid, all of which I've never heard. I love the trance that I listen to, you know, like Tiesto, PVD, AVB, Push, Corsten, etc. Anywayz, I think that trance, like any type of music, is an acquired taste. Somebody mentioned this already and I'm going to repeat it, trance is in your blood. Some people were born to appreciate, some weren't.

oh man ... reading some of the comments here, it seems some of you think trance is god's gift to man.

one reason why people may only want to listen to trance and nothing but ... you know when you meet someone really special and you don't want to spend time with anyone else ... could be the same with styles of music as well.

Well I'm pretty old when it comes to this type of music, I'm 26 and I have been into techno/ now electronic music for 10 years.

It was really funny for me when I stumbled across my first trance CD called Secret Life of Trance.

I remember wondering why I didn't like rock, rap or any other type of music. Depeshemode was good and so was Front 242, frontline assembly and even pet shop boys, but it was still missing something. But then I played the "Secret life of trance" CD and a smile come over my face and I remember thinking finally I have found my music. That was such a great feeling.
