Very well said, however, I believe the proper way to say it would have been;
"whist heavily employing narcotics I percieved Ygrene to be funny. Since I have terminated my use of illicit drugs I have come to the realization that Ygrene is, in fact, not funny."
See the difference is in which is correct my present perception or my past perception. Given that we generally accept one's perception is more accurate when one is sober as opposed to intoxicated we should must also accept that my present perception of your humour is more accurate then my past perception. Therefore, logically, you are not funny (in my eyes).
