from a purely economical standpoint, buying good used cdjs (such as cdj-800s) will be good if you find out djing isnt for you, because they will resale similar to what you paid. and if you decide you love to spin, well you have some great equipment at hand.

you can get a simple but good mixer, such as some simple vestax.

as for headphones... well there is a whole thread dedicated to them, knock yourself out.

garbage cd player and headphones. I've used the cd player before, its so fucking whatever... I mean, there are soo much better cd players for just a little more $$... check out some of the numark duals... not bad at all for the price, and if you want to spend a bit more, denon duals... I dont like denons because i dont think they really stand up to club usage, and i played on denons a lot, but in your house, theyd be perfect.



Oh and as mentioned, please read the stickies. makes my life easier. this thread has some decent discussion about low end gear so ill leave it open, but most of the people who have been here a while realllly get sick of these threads.
