The sin of gluttony is an invention of the church though, there's nothing in scriputure to suggest that getting drunk is a mortal sin (or, at least, none that I'm aware of). Hell, even when Noah got shitfaced and passed out naked he got off scot-free: it was his son, who had the misfortune of seeing him naked, who got punished by god.

So the lesson is clear: if you must get drunk and pass out naked somewhere, do it in the company of someone you don't like. Their bewildered disgust at your naked, pink appendages shall find them falling rather rapidly into disfavour with our just and merciful Lord.
