I, too, have recently been experimenting with fader start using my 800s and my djm 400. It definitely can be useful in a set.

Wicked, well hopefully I've given you some ideas here you hadn't thought of, or if not I hope you found it an interesting read anyway!

Have you got any of your own suggestions you'd like to add?

I will probably do another FaderStart "recipe" in a few months (once I've covered some other topics) as there are still more things you can do with it - one of these things being what I call "Cross-Starting"... answers on the back of a postcard if anyone thinks they know what I'm talking about (hint: you'd have to modify the way your kit's setup slightly to do it)

Haha, well, you were pretty thorough I'd say. I'll def. add to it if/when I come up with some other cool stuff to try.

Ok, well hopefully some people have still found this useful - the moral of the story for me is to aim for something which doesn't require such exclusive features then... for some reason I felt fader start features were more common than they seem to be - possibly because every CD deck seems to do it, it's just the mixers that are few and far between.

Cheers folks Next one coming in a week or so.
