I only tested with a turntable today, but will test a CDJ after this weekend. The performance with the TT was great, though. I couldn't make it lose the timecode no matter what I did (including harsh backspins, low frequency vibration, and very sharp movements). I didn't try backspinning it for 30 seconds, because frankly I would NEVER EVER do that in real life.
Loop sync is handled via the Master Tempo feature in the top center of the display. If you want to add some loops, just set the master tempo to the same value as the program record, then engage it. Now, any loops you fire off will roll in time with the master tempo.

I think you're really referring to key locking here, and yes, it does. In fact, it goes one better and has independant key and tempo. You can freely adjust the key without effecting the speed of the song (or vice versa).
