yes. the while the rational and spirited parts of the soul seem to be in alignment with the conclusion in Phaedo that the soul is the transporter for non-empirical knowledge before birth, the irrational or appetite part of the soul seems to align more with human nature and impulses, which does not coincide with the view of an invisible, immortal soul.
