I was just curious what you would recommend? Since Cdjs are a better option what would you recomend. I would like something that feels and acts like vinyl.

Pioneer cdj-800 mk2...they're more expensive but will have you set for years and years.

What would you suggest in the way of a mixer?

you could get 2 numark tt500's and numark dxm06 mixer on ebay for around 500-600 bucks (all new). but you need styli and headphones too (another 200 bucks). i started on this setup and enjoyed the effects on the mixer and stuff... i have since upgraded though

you can get 2 tt's, a mixer, headphones, cartridges, and serato for the cost of 2 cdj's.

i'm not bashing cdj's (i own 1000mk3's), but i think:

tt's + mixer + headphones + cartridges + serato > 2 cdj800's (no mixer or headphones)

both cost about 1300 bucks but i think tt's and serato would be better for you

Id honestly invest and save money for cdj's. You'll have a hard time finding many of your favorite and wanted tracks on vinyl and for the most part they probably wont be located in your area, youll have to shop online. That involves paying shipping if im correct.

If you think about it, the money youll spend on 1 vinyl with a couple remixes or maybe a b side track youll be able to get a handful of digital downloads and save some space being able to load them all on a cd instead of fill your room with vinyl.

Sure CDJ costs more money but it's a lot more versatile and "creative" than vinyl imo.

So my suggestion is save your money for something like a cdj-200 and a numark mixer.

Edit: CDJ-200's are at around 300-350 now at certain sites.
