High school was pretty cool. I knew almost everyone and almost everyone knew me, plus I had a VERY large group of close friends. that being said, i regret not doing more. I should have gone to more dances and gotten laid, should have gone to the football games and gotten wasted afterwards....should have done this, should have done that....ya know what, i had a good time, met a lot of people, and thats all that really matters.

I liked HS though. It really did take me 6 years to finish, because I skipped class just about every day to smoke pot. I don't regret one minute of so-called "wasted time". I had a good time, partied a lot, made friends with everybody, and didn't rush into university like everybody else (who later ended up realizing it wasn't for them, wasted money, and dropped out without getting their degree). I got suspended numerous times and expelled once for a whole semester.

It was definitely an awesome time in my life, but obviously I'm glad to be done with it. It DID prepare me for university, because I needed physics/chem/bio courses to get into nursing. The social aspect of it helped me too I would say, but I doubt I'd be fucked in life if I never went to HS. Like Arbiter, I would chalk up any of my successes to good parenting and having a good head on my shoulders.

do you think it prepared you for university/college/life?

my own input:

i was always at every party, known by everyone, i was more on the jock side and i find it no surprise now when i look back that im one of the few people i kno that goes 2 huge EDM events since me and my buddies were party animals back then
i liked highschool alotl but i definatly like the way the real world works more

At the beginning, I was the loud, popular, friendly, bubbly kid. By the end, I was the quiet, "avoid everybody", keep to myself type.

For the most part, I hung out with the "inbetweeners". They weren't the cliquey "cool kids", and weren't the "dorks/goths/losers/weirdos/stoners/nerds". We belonged everywhere, any group was happy to hang with us, and we were generally liked. It was a huge group of us.

I left highschool thinking "THANK GOD ALL OF THIS BULLSHIT IS FINALLY OVER!!!"

I hated highschool by the end, mainly because my last year consisted of me working full time, and going to school full time, which was a massive pain in the ass, and incredibly draining.

I wouldn't say highschool itself really prepared me for life, but a lot of decisions I made during those years did.

x2

I felt everything fell into place, during and after college. Grade school didn't get me anywhere.

i was a big dork in highschool, and i still am to a certain degree.

i hung out with everyone pretty much, the jocks the stoners the nerds.... but highschool was a huge waste of my time as it was stupidly easy, didnt need to do any work to be able to pull off a 90 average, smoked alot of dope and drank alot of beer.

so i guess in hindsite highshcool was pretty awesome.

im glad that the stupid imature bullshit is over tho. the day to day highschool drama was a pain in the ass......

but meh i turned out awesome so i guess it cant be all that bad

Getting my high school diploma is still one of my proudest moments, just because I fucked around so much...I don't think anybody thought I would finish.

Funny thing is, I made the honour roll my final year AND won a math award. I think a lot of my teachers were happy to finally see me working to my potential.
