My point was that he can see in ReBirth how the synth parameters and notes are set for a proper acid pattern so he can recreate that in a synth and host of his choice.

I dunno exactly what "acid line" you mean, but as i heard "lift" some time ago, i would say its kind of a long delay on a normal bassline, with env and hight filter.. then just add a long delay, i think theres an Ohm Boyz Plung in preset that creats that very well.
