P.S. I heard that declawing is really painful for animals...please please please rethink it!
My friend had her kitty declawed..and he couldn't jump up onto the furniture anymore cause he couldn't dig in. Well he could jump, but most of the time he'd fall. Also, it banishes him to be an indoors cat FOREVER, he'll have no way to defend himself anymore!

They can be trained not to do that. All she has to do is keep a spray bottle with water around and spray the cat whenever he scratches. Or get a scratching post, etc.
