Not to mention that we have too many idiots on the road as it is.

In my opinion, if you get caught over the limit when driving, you should have your license revoked automatically for 5 years minimum.

It isn't like people don't know they shouldn't be doing it. It isn't like there's not a million anti-drinking and driving campaigns. It is driven into the heads of people beginning at childhood. If you are going to be THAT much of a dousche and do it anyway, you're deemed an idiot, and should not allowed to have a vehicle period.

Douche*

And I think that some people get so intoxicated, that they lack judgment. Actually, I know that. It's their fault to getting to the point they are completely wasted, but we can't assume that they deliberately got into a car. Responsibility starts at the first drink, all the way to the last, after that... It's all up in the air.

That is no excuse.

If you intend on going out and drinking, then don't bring your car. Period.

If you can't have one or two drinks without HAVING to have more, then maybe you should go to a doctor and perhaps a few AA meetings. Not to mention, if you are that irresponsible and out of control of your own self, you shouldn't be driving anyway.

There is never an excuse for drinking and driving... EVER! No one can convince me otherwise.

There is a reason why I choose to pay twice as much to live in the city as opposed to the suburbs ... this is it.

I never drive drunk. Ive had friends almost die because of drunk drivers (describe what happened in a thread about drinking and driving a few days ago but i cant find it). Its amazing how seeing a friend with her face so badly damaged you cant recognize her (and knowing that if you accepted her offer to go home with her would result in you being put in the bed next to her to lie in a coma for a couple of months with tens of plastic surgeries ahead of you so you can look like a human again or even worse in the morgue along with 3 other people that were in the car at the time of the chrash) makes you realize why you shoudnt drive drunk (i newer did it before and after seeing that there is no way i could do it ever).

I started watching Dexter recently, he came up with a nice way to deal with a drunk driver who killed people. I believe he used a drill or something similarly painful.
