I agree. I don't understand how people get "addicted" to alcohol because frankly, after a night of drinking and dealing with the hangover, I don't want to touch a beer for at least a few days. Even getting smashed on a weekly basis is getting more difficult for me and I'm only 24!

Plus alcohol is a controlled substance for the most part and served in a controlled setting at bars/clubs. In that sense, it is "safer" but as for the moral angle, there's little difference between drinking your face off or popping a pill or two.

E is not chemically additive.

If you become addicted it to, its because of a lack of self control... you always wanna experience that high, being high in situation just feels better. Of course it does, but its up to you to decide if you need to be feeling that "high"ness all the time or not.

You cannot form a dependence on E AFAIK.

I would love to see sources proving otherwise to me if I'm wrong.

LOL, what about for those ppl that never through up or get hangovers?

If I drink white wine or beer, I'm one of those individuals. I simply have no negative side effects that would deter me from wanting to drink all the time. No negative connotations to over-drinking...

even when that's like 5-6 beers at a buddy house before the pub, and then 4 pitchers at the pub itself... LOL London Pub was a gloriously drunk night for me... and sadly, not even at the top of my list.

I used to be like that kinda...i'd only throw up if I ate something "iffy" and a quick advil and some OJ in the morning and I'd be feeling great by the afternoon...and this applied to nights with 20+ beers, mixed drinks, that vile Mexican fire drink known as Tequila, etc. But now, I dont know...I always feel like absolute shit. I notice that on E too now. I dont' do it a lot but it wrecks me for at least two days in terms of fatigue, concentration, mood.

I think the only two drugs I've tried "regularly" that didn't have adverse effects the next day are weed and coke. One is good, the other is not.

booze is just as addictive but since its socially accepted, most people dont view it this way.

Think about it. How many people even in this forum who are drinkers could go to a club for a night and not drink?

Booze is legal because the government can make money from it. The government is addicted to the taxes.

It's not even that. You look at how people in Moscow or St. Petersburg live, and then you tell me vodka isn't fucking addictive.

i say legalize and regulate everything. Half the dangers of illegal drugs are not knowing whats in it or how strong it is. Regulate, tax and legalize. Im not a user of illegal drugs but i dont think they should be illegal either.

Same thing with prostitution. Its going to happen whether we like it or not so why not make it safer and tax it?

think about all the problems that would create though. We already have enough drunk drivers out there...we don't need who knows how many more fucked up on harder drugs driving and killing other people and themselves.

I'm all for decriminilisation for possession. If people want to get drugs they can, but they shouldn't be treated in the same vein as assaulters, bank robbers, etc. I have to admit I would feel better taking a E if it had been manufactured by a drug company and sold in an LCBO, for example, but that's just not a reality in the near future.

Blackness (Jay) and Little Komodo (Dannie) are the only that readily and ALWAYS come into mind! Like always.

Love those two.

I must say though, I dont drink at clubs anymore.

If I dont end up there drunk, I simply dont buy drinks there (only becaues I dont wanna see my money wasted on a $5+tip beer!)

So, yeah, if I havent had a chance to pre drink, then that always means Im having a completely sober night at Guv or wherever.

on the contrast Jem, I find it hard not to be "somewhat" fucked up when I go out. It sounds shallow, but it's kinda boring to be a bar or club and completely sober. Or maybe my life is boring.
