they should win the case, but you're right pett. That dude isn't getting in play for a while. and either way their reputations are ruined but that's why they have a case.... because they were tricked into it.

They still stated their own opinions. What they said is what they said.
If I were them, I would have just kept quiet and if anyone asked me about it in person, tell them I was following a script. *shrug*

Bullshit.
Those forces combine to create a soaking, boiling mudstorm on Valentine's Day.

It would be like getting someone drunk and talking them into selling their 25k dollar rolex for 100 bucks. BUT......they have to be able to prove it.
Well, if it were THAT simple, the Girls Gone Wild tapes wouldn't exist. That company hosts nights at bars, gets everyone wasted for free, has them sign the waivers, and then encourages them to 'do stuff' for the camera. Sadly, nothing those girls can do.
Now as for that rodeo guy- he can't even hide behind the "I was drunk and duped" excuse for the despicable things he said.... I hope he gets flooded with hate mail.

Actually, it can be that simple (depends on the circumstances etc)...and it works here in Canada as well. The guy that owns the GGW franchise has been sued for just that on many occasions. It's called signing a contract under duress. My mom and a few co-workers managed to sue the company they worked for a few years ago for the same thing. And as for the rodeo guy...he's screwed!!!

I know they've gotten sued plenty of times, but what came out of the legislation for the people who sue? Do they just win money, or do they get their scenes in the movies removed as well? Obviously, the GGW folks are still doing pretty well for themselves, and selling tapes as always.

True...their reputations have already been damaged and the scenes are on tape forever...so I think it's it's just money for punitive damages...
