I wouldn't really listen to it at home (unless it's the more chilled, atmospheric type) but as party music it's unbeatable.

Drum and bass has an ambient side, for starters i'd suggest you look into some of "LTJ Bukem" work.

Bukem is great, love his track "Horizons", that's exactly the type of dnb i like.

Pendulum is clownstep.

agreed. I really like the hard, dark drum and bass with those sweeping pounding basslines but i also love the more chill shit like ltj bukem. unfortunately beyond a few names I dont know many artists.

Love this track!

I spend quite a bit of my time listening to dnb, got into it through breaks. Nothing can pump you up quite like some hardcore dnb.

i also like jungle very much. i'm still pretty new to this whole genre so i'm delighted with like 95% of stuff that i hear. i don't know who are the main players, what is popular atm or who is tiesto or armin of d&b scene. and i don't want to know.
i just like it because it's so fast, it has incredible energy and it makes me dance every time i hear it.
some of the artist i listen: dekota, total science, aphrodite, john b, future prophecies and some older stuff from roni size, goldie, nasty habits ...
