Never heard it before that, didn't even know it existed. But I think it compliments ressurection very well.
Reload fan here!

Do you know why? Cause it practically the same damn song.

I guess I'm saying that Reload made me a bigger fan of Ressurection and vice versa.
Yeah well, a lot of producers do that and I think its creative and intelligent.
but maybe they should have made it just one track with both breakdowns. that would be alright, but its not the sound they wanted I guess.

You're correct in one way, but resurrection and reloaded were almost identical, minus a few changes to the melody arrangement. It's lazy producing, but it prolly made them a tonne more cash, so fair play to them for that.

O.k. guys, ressurection was very good, i agree with you, but i think you have to know that, the main melody it's not PPKs. The original melody was composed by the great Russian composer Edward Artemiev (who played symphonic synth spacey music-the type of Vangelis and Jarre and who is famous for his soundtrack works on Andrei Tarkovsky's great "existenial" films like "Stalker", "Mirror" and the original version of "solaris".)and it was used as an original score for the end-scene of the 70s cult Russian sci-fi movie "Sibiriada". I haven't heard any of other PPK stuff but for what i know, this is largely the reason that PPK was mostly a one-hit wander who never achieved that level again. This melody was never their own in the first place!

would've been cool if some other remixer took the melody from "ressurection" (being that "resurection" out first)and turned into something like Reload before PPK did. to the best of my knowledge no such remix exists.
Guess thats just what makes PPK creative in doing so.
Notice also that no other producer has ever used a synth of similar sound therby, keeping these tunes especially unique.

They never use the sound cause it's irritating, simple as hell and utterly shite.

No offence, if you like the tune then you like the tune. But espesh since I now learn the melody isnt thier own, they are far from creative, just got bloody lucky.

Yep the melody is not their own:

You have to hear Artemiev's original version though, it's bloody brilliant!!!Imagine the melody of Ressurection played by a fat 70s spacey moog, it really gave me goosebumbs when i first heard it guys!PPK's "tonal-lead-line" it's very cheap in my opinion...

would love to hear the original score from the film "Siberia" but I doubt its nearly as good as the PPK version.
hell it propably doesnt even have a beat from the census that I'm gathering. some ambient, not my cup of tea.

PPK were pretty successful in my opinion. lots of good remixes out there, didn't they even have their own Rec. label called uplifto.

I got a few of those recs.
not to mention the remix they did of Tilman Urmacher "On the Run". what a fuckin tune.

shit oh yeah..
forgot to mention that when I call my girlfriend... yep
its the 'reload' ringtone

lol well it's not as good, it's the damn original epic synth score peformed by a massive synth!the film is called "Siberiada".

It's like saying that Samuel Barber's classical "Adagio for Strings" is not half as good as tiesto's raped remix of a remixed remix, because it doesn't have these (terrible) fat electro sounds and the beat, and that the tune is very orchestral(!).

Who cares about the beat anyway, which is the classic steady funk-less epic/melodic-trance beat?Epic-Trance is about the lead-lines and the melodies not the beats, and it happens that this melody/lead-line was from another composer. Not to mention that the "spacey-tone" they used as a lead-line is extremely over-played in trance, right from the beginning of the 90s with cosmic baby,(You know..cosmic baby's famous "Space Track"...)and lot's of other producers...

I remember really liking Resurrection when it came out, haven't heard it for a while. I don't think it's cheddar but can understand why people think it is...

They also stole the main lead for ReLoad. As far as I'm aware, all of PPK's big hooks were stolen and "rearranged", as the inlay notes put it.

However, what everyone forgets is that ResuRection was far more than one bleepy hook they stole. There's a shitload going off in that track, including an epic synth wig-out in the middle for about three minutes. It's a brilliant piece of trance, and far more than just another anthem.

And nobody seems to complain about Gamemaster stealing the lead riff from Quench. Probably because Gamemaster didn't sell as many as ResuRection.

Oh, and it's not the biggest selling trance record in the UK. That's pure bollocks. Children is.
