I think if you take a trip over to Cream of Ibiza you just might find Oakie's reputation there is pretty similiar to his here. Don't get caught up in superstar fame game. Just cause the man's kicked in the past, doesn't mean he's still going. Oakie's name excedes him. This isn't to say that someone can't build up a good huge name with a huge reputation. I'm just saying: don't defend someone as being godly, when they've obviously failed to deliver. No one here hates Oakie because its cool to hate him. Most despise the guy because we all paid 40+ bucks to see the ****** and he wasn't anything. Its a valid fact. We'd all love it if the man was still making us dance.

The bottom line is:

A Name is only that, a name!

I seen oakenfold spin 5 times...i'm never going back. Sure he does better remixes now at the moment Dellerium - Silence (Paul Oakenfold Remix) but thats the only track, which is average for a DJ of his Nature. Its not that fact that Oakenfold spins stuff ppl acctually know its the choice of tracks, the set fuck-ups like my other collegue said in the post b4 me...that make for an absoulutely boring time. His point is well made...whos gonna go pay 40 bucks to go listen to a boring set? and if ur one of the ppl that has been brainwashed that Oakie is God...u seriously need to be exposed to better DJs at the moment sure he was good at one point in his career, but the time has come for a different sound than the tame ambient kinda trancey smooth choice he spins. but thats a matter of choice if u still like that sort of thing. Personally i like sets that keep you dancing and wanting more.

I know some of the stuff i had said may or may not dissapoint and have some conflicting views with other people including your own (Obviously), but I have said my peace about certain questions and comments made and i hope i have stirred future comments and more posts soo lets keep this shit going.
