Are house and trance parties becoming a thing of the past(like disco)???
Er...no. As much as I hate to say this (and it is true) house reigns supreme down here, along with hip-hop, reaggaeton (OMG FUCKIN' KILL ME with that fuckin' lame ass shit) and rap. Trance is still around in smaller venues like BLUE once a month and the occasional PVD (if you can REALLY call him trance. ) , Edgar V, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten and Armin (sometimes) at Space. Then you have Tiësto at Mansion as well.
Disco isn't really dead unless you go to the Allure section of Area 51 like we did last Friday.

Definitely more house these days. And I am one of those people. Voodoo Lounge in FT. Lauderdale is the primary spot if you want to do dance music monthly. Most other spots around here are hip hop based and I doubt that you will recieve a warm welcome. Griffin at the Hard Rock, but I haven't heard of a strong turnout there for much. Miami is your next option.

I was at Griffin once (against my will, of course) and have to agree with that statement. Girls everywhere for sure. And not a bad venue at all....
....just NOT my type of music.

PVD, Teisto & co.were trance pioneers and championed the sound across the globe for many years....Wowever a lot of the trance DJ's are now starting to modify their sound now, as the trance era is losing its fan base. They are playing more electro house etc in their sets and slowing it down. House music has been the one genre that has constantly be in demand across the globe; constantly through the years.

Revolution sounds cool. I was thinking Sonar in Hollywood. Its a very small venue, but it had the greatest vibe. I think its closed now though. Other then those clubs mentioend @ the Hard Rock, I dont know any other club in Broward that could be any success. I think a smaller venue, and earlier hours would really help it. Something like Blue but a bit bigger.
I used to play there.. the owner is also a dj. his name is Baby Sean. I'd forward you the number but he has a new one and i havent spoken to him since before my surgery (in march) so i wouldnt be able to tell you how to contact him other than physically going to speak to him in person or calling the venue itself (sonarniteclub.com)
hope that helps!
