Then, I blew out the candle.

Bingo, this is where it becomes a ball ache especially if you buy 20 or 30 tracks in one hit

honestly i usually buy new tracks in 20-30 track hits (as you put it ), and i just suck it up and burn each track individually...considering that im labelling cd's as i go along as well as organizing tracks into seperate directories outside itunes, as well as warping them for live i have plenty on my plate and by the time i finish burning every disc i will have finished all the parts of my organization process...i also burn everything at 6x and this gives me an opportunity to listen to my new tracks and get to know them a bit while organizing. the outcome is worth it imho.

I put as many as I can fit on a cd and burn 2 copies. Then I print the tracklist out and put it in my cd book. I also put notes on the tracklist.

Just burn it by artist and release, that simple. Just like what you would get when you buy a vinyl release, just the ability to fit more tracks on a CD vs a vinyl record. Tracklists would be nice, but I'm someone who has like over 900 tracks burned...two cases of them. I'd be spending days doing that..use up a lot of paper. Just easy to write everything I need on the CDs itself.

When I used CDs I prefered to have one song per CD including remixes.

What a waste of cds to only put one or two tracks on there. For those that do it, what's the reasoning behind that? Easier to read/keep track of? I do that occasionally but only after I've burned all my cds and I have one or two left over that I really want to play.

Shitty way, since ud have to go looking through tracks 1-10 in a dark environment. Sorta annoying if u forget which cd the track was burnt on.

1+ per cd, lets u know ur tracks better, remember them better and will definitly save you some time.

Why is it shitty? It conserves cds, instad of having 40 tracks on 30 or 40 cds, you could have 40 tracks on 4 cds. You won't be looking at a tracklist in a dark environment if you bring one of those tiny LED's or maybe a small flashlight. Best thing to happen to djs.
