I bit the bullet and decided against getting them via Ebay - I paid a few hundred quid for peace of mind with a UK warranty for a couple of 1000s.
It's all relative. Buy cheap and it's not the same value of deal you'll get if you buy from an authorised reseller.

oh yeah defo i just said when you look at the prices its so tempting but i thouht no i prefer to get sumthin i know ill be safe with and from the UK. its just wen u c a cdj800 for like £350 or a djm800 for £700 u get suckered in and wot a saving but if u get sung for customs u pay pay major charges. and like you said if anythin goes wrong its a ballache to get sorted.
if i had the cash to spare id like to see how much of a deal equipment was via importing, but i dont so i think il just stick to things from my own country that i know come with warranties.
