It's better to have more than you need than it is to need more than you have...

But you always end up needing more than you have

You always fill the room you're given then start wanting that little bit more!

Not sure if anyone posted this yet, don't have time to read the whole thread......

But, I'm about to get a 4 channel mixer and only 2 CDJs. The reason I went for the DJM800 is becuase of the features it has, and the high quality sound.

A 4 channel mixer will generally have more features that a 2 channel.

Take the DJM400, which is directly comparible to the DJM800.

One has 2 channels, the other 4. The former has far less features than the latter.

Of course there is the issue of price...... but hopefully this explains a little bit about why some people buy 4 channels when they need only two at that time........

All these guys are wrong, when your a DJ, its all about looking good, and a dj on a 4 channel mixer, looks more important than a dj on a 2 channel mixer.

More knobs to nearly break your arm while strenuously turning = profit.

I use all 4 of my channels, 2 for turntables, and 2 for Serato, actually need more as when my buddy comes over we then have 2 more CDJs, and when we go on at the same time (kind of duel mixing), it can be crowded and messy, just not enough room and channels, only way we can kinda fix it is having his Ecler Nuo4 hooked up to my Denon X1500, not perfect, but it works a treat.
