But I'd still miss the early morning Deep Dish hours even if they did. That's the stuff that counted, not the fact they played a certain way during a year, but for the simple fact they knew how to run a party all thru the hours of the morning.

I'm all for the two of them producing and touring seperately and actually have been wanting this for quite some time now. Sharam has done some great stuff in the past and thrown together some awesome sets but his consistency and skill level is not even close to that of Ali's.

DD

seen DD, twice playing on 4 decks in t.o back in 99-00 and if anyone saw those performances , you would know that Sharam was the guy who was in control of mixer most of the time and running the show.
but i totaly agree that Ali's sound kept a closer distance to old school DD sound than Sharam's, but mixing wise i always prefer Sharam, and ya his sound is getting cheesy sometimes !!!

i think this was a subtle way of announcing that there will be a split coming soon from the duo...

i can't agree more! ... the one last time they actually rocked it out hard true DD style was in May 2003 @ ARIA. after that it's just been downhill. always Sharam, Sharam, Sharam when it came to N-American tours...everywhere you looked. even when Ali was there physically in the dj booth he played for about a half an hour and was done for (i.e. first time being Bal en Blanc 2004). this split has been a long time coming. no news there. besides Ali has always been the nicer one. i've always said Sharam has way too big of a head. Ali was the one carrying the two with his fresh deep sexy beats. Sharam's just cheeeeeze. maybe he should join Tiesto in the cheezefest.

Dubfire has consistently scared me more than Sharam -- so my preference has always been clear (I prefer the fear).

HOWEVER - IMO Sharam played better than Ali during their last Guv gig.

So although they might be touring or producing on their own -- I really think that seeing either member of DEEP DISH (live!) would be a worthwhile experience.
