You may plug-in your cdj to your amplifier either through the Coaxial digital output or regular RCA.
When playing you'll want to operate in either 2 or 5 speaker mode.
Avoid anything called "effects" dsp or anything of the sort as these are emulating a surround sound feed ( which you would get from a dvd-video ) with frequency cuts, delays etc for rear channels and such.

Incremental crossover between both stereo channels is commonly done to avoid excessive panning effects in dissonant rooms.
It's far from being an absolute necessity.
