You get to call me names when you get your ass a job and out of uni!

Seriously though I remember reading that most of the homeless people in Australia end up there because of a lack of decent mental health care services. Basically their time at the clinic runs out and they get ditched out into the big old world, the government closed down a lot of the state ones and/or privatised it.
It's even more critical now when theres a current epidemic of meth abuse in the country that's melting peoples brains out their ears and making them psychotic.

Something tells me clicking a link by some random new member who's putting it in random posts is a bad idea.

Yeah, it prompts you to download a "codec" which is actually some sort of malware/trojan.

Pretty nasty one too...
quote:
zCodec, formally known as Adware/ZCodec or Adware/EMediacodec, affects most versions of Windows and was first detected last week, Panda said. When run, the program alters the system's DNS configuration in order to divert traffic to DNS servers of its choice, a technique sometimes used as part of a phishing scam or to rack up clicks for advertising schemes. zCodec also accesses a particular IP address to randomly select and download one of a collection of files. The files that could be downloaded include Ruins.MB, a Trojan horse that uses rootkit techniques to conceal itself, Panda said. zCodec could also download an online casino program.
A second file launches every time the user starts Internet Explorer and monitors Web usage. Panda said its software can remove zCodec.

honestly although cattle do produce a large portion of the GHG emmissions, its not bad at all. the reason why fossil fuels are so bad for GHG is that they add carbon to the carbon cycle. when cows give off Co2 and methane, it is all produced in their digestive tract from breaking down food (plant material) when the manure decomposes, the carbon returns to the soil, and the trees will absorb the c02 and convert it back to 02. the carbon cycle is a fully sustainable system that will lead to no net increase in ghg. now with fossil fuels you are indroducing million year old carbon deposits into the current carbon cycle, increasing the net carbon levels and offsetting the equillibrium. if all automobiles ran off of a 100% bio diesel or ethanol base, then the GHG level increases would stabilize (theoretically as long as the greenspace is maintained to remove co2 from the atmosphere)

Thing with biofuels like alcohol's and biodiesel is that to bring them up to full scale production you have devote an awful lot of farmland to growing things which can be processed into them. Given most countries are prone to experiencing erratic weather like droughts or floods you'd end up with shortages as theres only so much land available for farming.
Unless of course we want to cut down more trees!
It'll need a lot of work to make it sustainable.

there are some high level sources of materials for ethanol and biodiesel, not as cheap to make as the corn derivatives, but rendered animal fats (grease) and some other bio wastes can be used in place of cash crop
