I use the M-Audio Firewire Audiophile Interface External soundcard. Have had no problems with it. I highly recommend it.

The Audiophile is also my soundcard, it's a piece of shite for recording, so make sure you dont use it for that whatever you do.

Also there are some other weird things with it but it is a solid s-card for the most part.

If you had a slightly bigger budget the 410 is vastly superior.

The m audio firewire audiophile is a good cheap entry level interface. I love mine, but of course I don't expect it to compete with a Hammerfall.

Strange? You have had problems with yours? I have never heard about anybody having problems with it. I use mine for recording every weekend. Never one problem.
