There's some pretty cool new features. The whole language is now more object-oriented, and even legacy code is 10 times faster in the new Flash 9 player.

The coolest thing is the SoundSpectrum class though. No more fake equalizers on sites, now you can read out the real deal from sound files.

The best book I've read about Flash is Essential Action Script 2.0 from Moock. But it requires some some knowledge about OOP.

And I hate E-Books. My eyes are becoming really hard to focus after reading 5 or 6 pages in a row on a screen.
