I agree with some dude above, Trentemoller came out of nowhere.

I don't know - Probably Nathan Fake, but honestly I can't recall a single artist album from this year I was absolutely enamored with.

Nik and Mart's album was a nice effort from the TA community, but I wouldn't necessarily call it the "most original" thing I've ever heard. Just a very pleasant, well programmed, somewhat diverse artist album.

I saw some clips of Trentemoller with a band and a lead vocalist. What a change to the always boring dj with decks and what not. You should also check out SCSI-9, their album on Kompakt is brilliant.

Jeff Mills - Blue Potential.

It's Detroit techno... but orchestral Detroit techno.

Hmm.. hadn't heard the Apparat & Ellen Allien album until now because I usually steer clear of the recent stuff on Bpitch, Kompakt and the likes (it's been enough for me)..

Like what I'm hearing until now very much though.. Well recommended.

most original? hmmm, I'm thinking of something that was at times Loud, Electronic, yet Ferocious as well....

in all seriousness, I'm familiar with Vibrasphere and Tegma and all that psy-prog but haven't heard much actually. I will check these albums out. This thread is a bit too 1337 for me sadly.
