Are you going for studio monitors or multimedia speakers?

Studio monitors. Most MMPC speakers look and sound like crap. Hence the notable and decent upgrade.

I just built mine:

Lian Li PC-61 USB
Antec True Power II 550W
Intel Bad Axe
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
OCZ 2 GB DD2 RAM
eVGA Geforce 7950GT
SoundBlaster Audigy 4
Western Digital 320 GB SATA Hard Drive
Lite-On DVD Burner with Lightscribe and DVD-RAM

It's a pretty fast machine. I put Zalman copper CPU and VGA fans in to reduce the temperatures.

Lol

Was the Dasani chilled, warm or iced?

You left out:

1) the manpurse and it's contents
2) the wallet and it's contents
3) The keys and what they open
4) The power surge outlet strip
5) The stand brand and model

Don't feel bad I have an old Compaq Armada M300 laptop (with an 80gb 5400 rpm HD & full memory compliment of 320Mb) that I lug to work to watch divx movies on when the time is convenient. I can watch up to 720/480 using a custom ati driver. Anything higher than that then it stutters the video.

I bought a new monitor yesterday. The Gateway FPD1975W Widescreen 19" LCD Monitor. What I like about this one, Is that it has both VGA and DVI-D inputs. It will let you connect two devices on the same monitor cause you can change the input source by pressing one of the buttons on the side. Meaning, If you have an XBox 360 with the VGA cables, You can connect it to this monitor and play your games in HD quality at 720p. You can also use it as an HDTV if you have an HDTV receiver with HDMI outputs, You can buy one of those HDMI to DVI cables. The monitor's native resolution is 1440x900.

Finally got around to upgrading my uber-outdated video card.

I got a:
EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB Overclocked

Yeah, I could have got the 640MB version, but there's no real need at this time. I'd rather have the factory-manufactured overclocked card. And the GTX is just way too expensive.

I also got a few other goodies to go with it:
Rosewill 500W Power Supply
Cooler Master Centurion Blue/Black Case
Cooler Master CPU Cooler

Now I just have to wait until it gets here...

I'd just be a little worried about that power supply. That's something you want to entrust to a name brand rather than something like "Rosewill" because if it goes, so does the whole system. If you're going all out on the video card as far as budget goes, you could probably cut back a little and save yourself from a possible nightmare by buying something reputable like Antec or OCZ. I had my Dell fry completely because of a bad PSU.

I also regret not buying a modular power supply in my new build. The case is a cable mess because of all the unused power cables. Who needs two legacy floppy connectors and six SATA connectors?
