looool... First clubbing experience was at the all-ages palazzo nights, when i was just 14.
Back then they played alot of euro, freestyle, along with hip-hop.
I was surprised when I heard on the radio that their having a House night, with M&S.
The club was dead for a while, it will probably gain back its momentum. Definately won't provide a challenge for clubs such as the guvernment.

Nava just opened in the area as well. Don't know yet if they'll have house nights, but they's already started advertising on Z103. Nava is located in the old 'Rocky Mountain High' in the East Beaver Creek area. No competition for Viva though, but they're trying to fill a gap in that area.
As for Sin City... it will be interesting to watch, but there is no way you can prevent it from being Gino City. The crowd will never be like the crowds in the downtown venues. I'll stick to my Guv.

HA! "Gino City" considering the club is essentially in a "Gino City" it's very likely.
TIL has a heavy gino influence so it might come out something like that on a massive scale YIKES!!!!!
I went to my first rave in that building, when it was still a bingo hall, many many moons ago.

Anything that could be some how associated with Palazzo makes me want to run very fast in the opposite direction..

this place will give viva fridays some stiff competition.
I was a little suprised to see you there, I agree though about the sound in that place. I had fun though!

Man, i drive by that place all the time, what a monster of a complex; i can see why some might think it could rival the guv. I'm not sure of the mechanics of 'location' in terms of club venues, but i would think that the Guv still has a monopoly on 'big club' feel in terms of being right down town. Regardless, I definitely have to chk this venue out, as well as viva in the new year... glad to see some house-life coming a little north, makes for a little less driving for us northerners.
