Iberia Mainroom Mix beats the other mixes of Circa Forever, damn it. (Ok the RE Mix is cool too, but far from as cool as Iberia, so i'm a tad disappointed (Although I don't know if you would be able to fit that particular mix in there, I suck at mixing)).

Will download, mate.

i listened to this yesterday. i hit play whilst boarding a train in some desolate area of south wales and reached the peak of 'dreamland' just as i stepped through the front door of my house here in nottingham.. so not bad timing at all really.

i thought the intro was weird.. two big tunes that bore little resemblance to the theme of the tracks that followed & didn't introduce them particularly well either. from track three onwards though liked it; i thought it built solidly for the first hour & peaked between nightoperator & stop the rock. just as i was getting unsure how things would progress from thereon, sonic empire came in & took things onwards into an interesting tangeant.. very well pulled off & i was pretty much hooked for the remainder of the techno-ish section. electronic malfunction was a brilliant choice for the transition back to trance (despite the timing on the mix being a little odd), but for me that tune is something you have to directly follow up with a strong, anthem-like piece. i don't know why.. it just kinda has that "hell yes, something big is just around the corner.." feel to it. possibly a personal thing... but i think going straight from that into tenshi would have been better. the following hour or so was excellent; anthem-strong but unpredictable.. leading into an array of understated epic classics. it started to run out of steam when the anjuna stuff came in though, unfortunately.. that and the ending seemed a tad on the predictable side. but it worked nonetheless.

mixing was pretty shithot on the whole, bar the odd slipped beat & instances where the outgoing track ended too early. EQing was pretty much perfect.

on the whole a very solid & well-structured set that never once got boring (well.. up until track 45 anyway). will be keeping this i think

This was unexpected. I never liked any of your sets until this one came along which happens to be your older mix. Your mixes sure have changed a whole lot since ’04. At any rate I really enjoyed this set a lot. This set wasn’t a perfect ten for a few reasons: it’s not the greatest set I’ve ever heard, there were a few bland moments, and there was a little trouble with the build. That is, you took a long time. You would start off strong but didn’t change the pace for a long time which numbed my senses until you switched moods on me and that was when you got my attention and the cycle starts all over again. Overall, an enjoyable set indeed. Thanks for the share Mike.

I am ALWAYS down for a trance mix. Tracklist looks great, although there are plenty I don't know. Will give this a listen since I have nothing to listen to right about now
