I need & admire solid consistency. When I want a different sound, I'll genre hop. Easy. That's my job, not theirs.

Fair enough. You should listen to Jigsaw Pieces actually, since it's probably your style.

Care to elaborate on this? Cause being the big Timewriter and TLB Jr. fan that I am, I don't follow...

Now, I'm not particularly fond of either of their earlier releases, but there are plenty of other producers and even dj's that fit your description a little more aptly I think. Trentemoller is a recent one that comes to my mind.

As for the rest of Plastic City excluding these two guys, yeah many of the other releases do sound somewhat redundant. Again, I think this is more indicative of the older tracks as opposed to the material since about 2001 or so. The cd's from G-Pal and Bioground are decent standouts though.

Terry = My Producer of the year
Plastic City = Label of the year

Honestly, they have been churning out hit after hit. Transitions is my fav CD of 2006 but Karambolage (sp) is #2... brilliant brilliant stuff.

I just remember listening to a shitload of Plastic City releases in early 2005. Most of it was TLB Jr and Timewriter, between the years 1996 and 2005, and I kept thinking "this track sounds exactly like the last one". It just didn't give me a good impression of the label.

TLB even managed to turn For An Angel into a tech-houser.

That said, I managed to find a PC release that I do like. The A-side of this is great. It's a hard tech stomper though, so don't expect smooth grooves.

Alright, I dug up a few old house/deep house tracks that I like. They might be hard to get ahold of, so let me know if anyone wants them.

Fresh & Low - Skylark
Tommi White - Like A Frame
Homebase - Constant Love (all mixes are great)
One Dove - Fallen (Farley/Heller Mix)
