A lot of guys are hyper-sensitive with this too. I often ask my boy how he is and what he did, but I am asking out of interest of his life and what he does when I'm not around. I think some guys misconstrue that as mistrust or jealousy.

I hate when guys are like "where were you?" who are you with?" yada yada, such a drag and it lead to a lot of break ups!

It's not really like she's annoying me with questions or anything. It's just that the other day she was talking on the phone with a friend and told her what colour shirt I was wearing.

I fail to see why talking about that could be interesting. And why anybody would actually care about this kind of shit?

I can only wonder what they talk about when I'm not around to hear it.

Fair enough, I will give you that one. Sometimes I feel like I'm under the microscope, and it's totally my issue. I suppose what really bothers me is when the interrogation starts. asking the same questions in different ways, to ensure a bullet proof story, etc.

or, the 'cell phone call for no reason' while I'm out, with follow up questions.

Those are the things that bother me more I think

sometimes - and i find this is truer with the female population - people just need to talk about random pointless bullshit, just for the sake of talking. i don't divulge little details and secrets about my boyfriend or our relationship unless they're actually important to the conversation... and conversations like that don't exactly happen very frequently. i also think a lot of girls feel the need to compare and compete with, as well as seek approval from other girls when it comes to shit like relationships and boys.

that's weird! punch her in the throat! just kidding! I don't know maybe you could talk to her and let her know the following things bother you!?

I just got outta a relationship with a guy, i didn't braek up with him for this reason, but this did annoy me a lil, here's the story.

he would host a karaoke night (temporary for a friend) and I saw this girl I hadn't seen since grade 9! that was about 15 years ago,and I was telling him outside that was the girl that introduced me to smoking, so the next time she goes up to the mic to sing he says, "my girlfriend tells me you started her out smoking", I was like Shut up , geez I spoke to him after not to repeat everything I say. At that point that was the 5th time in the first three weeks of dating him! It still continued, and abotu a month later we get together with one of his guys friends and he was talking about our sex life right in front of me. I kicked him a couple time which he thought was me being funny and shy - I was pissed off!!!! SO yeah I dumped him abotu a week later after that - and he still text messages me "I love you xoxoxoxo xoxoxooxoxo xoxoxoxo I miss you a lot and you hurt me a lot xoxoxoxoxoox" like fuk give me a break!

basically just talk to you girlfriend, tell her this bothers you and it should be all good - if she doesn't accept that then she's shallow!

that's all for now - good luck!

I was the one who taught my girlfriend this kind of stuff: I'd ask her how her day was, for example, and this was something she wasn't used to.

So, in the end, yeah, this kind of stuff doesn't bother me at all

Would your opinion be different in this regard if she was telling them nice things about you? Take it for what it is- a warning sign.

I really don't think that. We're doing great actually. She even laughs at my stupid jokes.

Does it make me a hypocrite that I'm complaining about this and talking to strangers on the internet about her?
