I had a great time...though anything after 2am or so is fuzzy, at best
HUGE thanks Marc for allowing this to happen in the first place in a such a great, cozy space...I can't remember ever seeing that many people in Slingshot and there have been some rather large parties there before. I hope the place wasn't *too* trashed, though I'm hearing otherwise
Rachel, Nat, Nicola, Dan, Jay, etc. etc. for conceptualizing, organizing and setting up...I was pessimistic about this being pulled off without a bit of drama...but well done!
Thanks to the TA DJs for providing the great tunes, as always!
and special thanks to Alex for re-arranging his flight plans from the U.S. to be back here for NYE...best NYE/NYD ever
hmmmm, I guess I wasn't so "cleverly disguised" by this point in the night...*wasted*

We were hoping a review thread wouldn't be posted so that people wouldn't be offended about not being invited as it was not an official 'TA event' (hence why there was no roll call or event listing). Since there were 6 promoters involved (3 of which don't run in the TA circles) in a space that holds 100 people, u can imagine how limited the invite list is for each person. Limiting who to invite was painful for all of us, and some of us even have friends that aren't TA's that get priority. Friends that had NYE plans already didn't even get an invite for 'courtesy's sake' (or else it would look like we were inviting more people than we were allowed, even if we knew the answer would be a no). So to everyone we couldn't invite- we apologize. Unfortunately a house party is far more limiting than a block party.
A big thanks to the Slingshot guys for letting us use their office space. What a sick setup! Marc, the visuals were awesome, the countdown was super cool. All the organizers were on top of everything and made for smooth organization. A huge success after 3 weeks of constant planning. Dan, Rich, Ray & Jeff threw down wicked sets, despite jumping record needles (signs of a bumpin good time on the dance floor). Too bad about our failed balloon drop, and some shrimp and veggie trays that went over the fire escape to the alley below.
Here are some pics- will wait for RJ to reappear so he can host the rest. Happy New Year everyone!
