On the otherhand, heres some advice from a design student:
1. Make it look less like an application, it's a website after all
2. If you have to use images for the buttons make the text a bit more legible, lower case is always more legible than uppercase, and using real text would be better if you can.
3. I think the funny corners make it look like shareware (see point 1).
4. Learn how to use CSS rather than tables, yes maybe tables are easier from your point of view, but CSS is so much better. Check out w3c for tutorials etc
5. I like the colours, and I also like the way the background is in more subdued versions, but I think the background needs to be simpler, and the funny grey borders are a bit odd.
6. In your news section your using white text on a light grey background, you should increase the contrast, maybe dark writing instead.
7. As funky as your ident is, I count it four times on your homepage which is overkill.
8. I don't want to sound protentious, but there is a simple rule in design: perfection is when there is nothing left to take away. If something is there and can be taken away, it should: simpler is always better.
