hey rich

i really like the melodies in this track and the flow of it. im been listening to it over the past few days and its one i can listen to over and over again. as menno said your best to date.

I also agree on more percussion bring needed just to give the track that extra drive and sparkle.

probably adding a melody over the main lead with give the track more dimension.

but i did enjoy it.

keep it up!

the music that is

Hi Rich,

Had a listen to the track.. Overall I felt it was a good start but to be honest it lacked the fullness that sets apart a pro track from say an amateur track. I think if you sat down and added a few more layers, particularly some thicker pads to add depth then that would make the track alot more solid.. + the extra percussion will go along way too.

Good luck.

cheers aesthetic. i have done some adjustments to the mix and now the track is sounding a lot fuller. i been using 'voices from the inside' by mister 'mike' as a guide to my mixing and im almost there...

any more reviews?

Hey there Rich,

Nice going, was a track I liked the first time round but this has definately been a worth while project.

In my own warped opinion though, I can't help but feel that it could also do with a catchy main hook. Probably just me though.

I would still play this out though.

Cheers
Karl

yo dude... I'll be picky and give you a couple things to think about.. =)

1 - super picky but the the clap isn't hitting perfectly with the kick...maybe edit the attack of the clap so it hits a tad bit sooner...its givin a bit of a swing but in the wrong way. Its very close hehe.....could be a timing issue or just the sample....maybe you want it like that though

2 - Im not down with the part where the kick hits 4 times then stops...then hits 4 times and stops... maybe replace those kicks with 'explsion type kicks'...would have more impact...i dont like when people use just a plain kick to build up excitment...cuz they sound weak...Not sure if im making myself clear hehe

3 - Since it is a bit repetive (nothing wrong with that) add another melody....make the second melody come in halfway to the end after the break....then the energy keeps building...

its a good tune - sounds exactly like mike...that kinda mellow feel
