I just assume they are people who have simply not really explored music before. Maybe it's a bad thing to assume ignorance on most people's fault, but I just can't move past the fact that most people who listen to music like this usually just don't know anything else. They prefer to simply hear music, not listen to it.
Of course tastes vary and each individual person is the exception to every rule  But people who claim that work like this is an 'art form' or something much more than it is are simply incorrect. This, of course, applies to trance and other electronic music forms as well...
