My opinion: What the hell were Technics thinking?!?!?!

Although it makes much less differemce, why did Pioneer decide to put a notch at 0% on the CDJ800 and leave it out on the CDJ1000? Odd behaviour.

I can understand Technics early models since originally it was designed for a different use, but as the CDJ is strictly DJ minded, that is odd.

Not at all.

I'm not sure if you are complaining on the slider locking at zero, or the initial click heard once locked.

As skot_e pointed out, you can remove the ball bearing if it bothers you, but it will still quartz lock when it reaches zero.

You can ajust the point of 0% pitch on a sl1200mk2 so that itīs at the same point as the quarts lock. This way it isnīt nescesary to remove the ball in the fader or to cut wires inside your tt etc.
