I guess 100,000+ dead civilians is NOT math. They don;t count. I don't buy that Saddam killed 5 million people. Maybe those idiots are calculating the war dead with Iran in 1980s perhaps?
Saddam did massacre Kurds, as seen on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Anfal_campaign , About 100,000 of them, but that doesn't justify the current massacre of civilians in Iraq, does it?
The war in Iraq is projected to last at least 10 years by many. 10 times current Iraqi civilians death toll is not an acceptable number in my opinion. Maybe in yours, not mine.
Saddam was a murderer, but so its the currently backed regime and American occupation forces. Remember Haditha?
Why bother arguing you? You don't have any pity for the Iraqi civilians and don't give a shit about them. As long as you have your own peace of mind, right?

it's a 100,000 now? what about the 650,000 you quoted earlier?

perhaps. i don't buy 5 million either. 1,000,000 total dead from the Iran/Iraq war i stand behind.
one fact though: Saddam Hussein was reponsible for the deaths of more Muslims than any man in recent history. by far.

of course not, but we're trying to get new, and very scarred country on it's feet. when we leave what will you say about my country then. more hate i bet, right?

jeez
yeah, i realize how easy it is for you to conflate that squad of American soldiers in Haditha with the entire elected Iraqi government and the entire effort over there by everybody.
it's easy. i know. it's intellectually painless and you can sound like you have absolute moral authority when you inflect "Haditha!" to your anti-Iraq philosophy.
i know it's bullshit. everyone else knows it's bullshit. everyone else that makes a concerted effort over there to stand that country up, to protect innocent from being vaporized by a random car bomb knows it's bullshit. but hey, whatever mas you feel better.

That's pathetically cheap. You are using the Iran/Iraq war to add to the victims of the Saddam Hussein list. Thats war, these things happen (especially for America - REMEMBER VIETNAM?? HOW MANY civilians did Americans kill there? How's that for American GENOCIDE of Vietnamese!!)
Also, Saddam Hussein is dead - get over it. Americans killed yet another Al-Qaeda leader. So, why are Americans still in Iraq? Why is their presense resulting in thousands of civilian deaths every year, plus their own troops too?
The civil war in Iraq will end one way or another. The civil wwar started because of Americans in the first place!!! It will end sooner or later. Americans have failed to stop it, its ecalating. How do you see US ending the civil war? They should cut their losses, safe face and let Iraqis reconsile.
The Civil War in Vietnam, went on too. Few years after it ended, after Americans left, things were peaceful and quiet. Today it turns out Vietnam was fighting for INDEPENDENCE, not for becoming pact with China and Soviets.
Go read some history for a change. Iraq is another Vietnam. If anti-American forces are to win in Iraq, its going to happen one way or another it seems, just like in Vietnam, but at least people will stop dying and peace and security will come. You don't understand the Iraqi situation.
Yeah, people like you say its BULLSHIT that America used chemical weappons and massacres many thousands of Vietnamese. Iraq ... Vietnam ... Iraq ...

I hate to tell yea, but your argument is floundering all over the place...
Falling back on the Vietnam = Iraq?
And changing the number from the 600,000+?
And since when did Human Right Watch become a null source?? That doc is hardly phony...

Sigh ... I am going with your 100,000 dead civilians number, though I do believe its significantly higher, around 600,000.
The whole point is, you guys are OK with the facts that thousands of civilians are dying every month and there's no end. And there's no freedom or democracy in Iraq. Iraqi militia has imprisoned journalists who have criticised the current regime. Plus all the war crimes against civilians by Americans. But you guys cant do the math, you cant add one plus one. Forget it. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
