I dunno...

There are some amazing tracks which I would love to hear more than once in a night...

I loved it when PVD dropped Time of our lives twice couple of years ago...

I loved how last March at Roseland PVD dropped Dogzilla - Without you twice...

Armin dropped Solarstone - Seven Cities twice a couple of years....din mind it at all!!!
Certain epic tracks can and sometimes should be played more than once in a nite...if its a long set...

No.

I don't see a good reason why when you have so many other tracks you can play

Maybe a different remix of a tune, but I doubt I'd play the same song twice in a set. I mean there are thousands of other tunes you can play, why play the same one twice, intentionally?

yeah i knwo it's not the end of the world but it bugs me a lot it's like your a world renoun dj who gets tracks from producers and a lot of them make their own songs to not be able to find enough tracks to double drop is a very amature move, if you have a track you wanna drop to get the crowd going wait for the right time and save the track don't play it 2 or 3 times in a set i find that so weak .... anyways that's my lil rant on that

When I played in the Montreal clubs, I did play the same vinyl twice, but the crowds were different at the start of the night, and at closing. I only played one a second time if I played it much earlier in the night.

For some reason I think we've already had a thread dedicated to re-runs, or maybe it was tribe. Anywhoo!

If done right, it can tie in the start of the night with the end of the evening. (esp if song has a huge reprise feel to it) Morales is one of the most famous for doing this, for example apparently when "Hung Up" first came out he would often hammer it for the first hour and then bring it back once party was at apex. (5-6 hours later down the road, as Morales plays long sets) And of course teasing snippets from it intermittently throughout night as well.

Like that can be fucking awesome if done right.
