Let me know how you get on and remember that you should be cutting and lowering your eq's as the mix progresses and not boosting them again and again, I reckon that's why the Urei is designed that way.
yes indeed. having that much manoeuvrability with isolatpr eqs can only mean more fun and possibilities give me a few weeks and i certainly see one of these bads boys on its wy to my house!

Does it have a send/recieve? If so I'd say ir's probably one of the most hardcore 4 channel mixers out there.
This thread prompted me to look at this mixer as an option, instead of an Ecler Nuo 3 I was considering. I found limited reviews of the 1603 and 1605 but they did raise some questions for me that I hope anyone who has used this mixer (or owns one) can answer.
- 1/4" headphone input "eats" adaptors, sometime can be very difficult to get it out.
- Super bright LEDs, basically too bright.
- Slightly flimsy faders and stiff (I am used to stiff faders and I trust they will last a while since this is made by Soundcraft, so this issue does not concern me too much).
If anyone can comment on these things (especially the first two), it would be greatly appreciated.

No problem man, the only thing as i said was the annoyance of the headphone input, apart from that it's realllllly nice.
yeah i just left a spare adaptor i had lying about in there, no biggie. although it hides the blue LED in there which is a shame!

bit of a bump but.....
I'm annoyed at my Vestax pcv 275 not having 4 channels and no crossfader curve control.
The 1603 apparently sounds really good but in reading the reviews online, someone was saying that ch1 does not go to the fader (like ch. 3 on my PCV 275). Is that true?
Also I've heard that there is not a send / return on every channel, only ch1. Can anyone confirm.
Basically I'm looking for a 4 channel mixer, with curve control x fader, full kill (eq or switches), send/return on each channel, with no built in FX and sound quality is my primary concern (so no pioneer suggestions please ). Any ideas?
