Around 6000 every day die at that age because no one cared to help them get clean water to drink and no one says anything. I've met kids from Angola who at the age of 10-12 had been roped into a militia, repeatedly pack raped and could use an AK47 or SLR before they could use a pencil to write their own name, no one cared about them.
Iranian kids around that age strapped bombs to themselves to attack Iraqi tanks, Palestinian kids blow their fingers off or die making pipe bombs to do the same to Israeli armoured vehicles. |
Well what do you expect from people who've only known opression and violence for a few decades now. They didn't exactly chose to be in that situation.

Its a sad, ugly old world and made even sadder when people decide to do nothing but give it lip service to make a specific point about something from a political perspective rather than a humanitarian one. Sure, we could care and make a difference once the politics are out of the way because they always end up skewing people's values on children's life it seems.
|
In this case, the two aren't terribly different. So I don't see what your point is. That's like saying don't make a political issue out of the civil rights. Ok, I guess we'll just stay quiet and it'll just take care of itself somehow.

If you do care, do something a little more for her memory than just cut and paste a media report.
Because ultimately youre asking us to see if we care more about a child from Africa, Iraq, Iran, Palestine or anywhere else who meets their end being dragged into these kinds of things and it is degrading to children who get killed in these circumstances. |
I'm not asking anyone to care. That would be great if people did, but I don't expect that, given their attitudes towards and preconceived notions about... let's just say... a certain ethnic/religious group. Yeah, some people do, but they're a pretty small minority in my opinion.
Anyways, that wasn't the point. All I'm doing is bringing up a harsh reality which most people know little about nor do they understand eigther, and frankly, it deserves alot more attention. Considering how many people indirectly contribute to it with out even being aware of it in the first place is more than reason enough that they should at the very least be informed. Because nothing's going to change with out basic knowledge and understanding of this issue, something Zionists have relied on for quite some time now.

I agree that this is a terrible event, but the article makes no mention of what exactly happened. Was she hit by a stray bullet? Did the troops go out of their way to shoot her in the head? Was it intentional or accidental?
Hard to make a huge judgment from such a incomplete account regardless of the tragedy. |
Because this is nothing new, it's routine. If you knew anything about the situation, you wouldn't be asking that question. And it's not just Palestinians who get killed in cold blood in the Gaza strip and occupied territories, Western reporters and journalist are victims of the IDF too.

Don't get me wrong, it's tragic, but this kind of stuff happens everywhere, and where's the outrage for that? |
No, this kind of stuff doesn't happen everywhere. Name one place that's been under a military occupation for almost half a century now, which still continues till this day. It is really tragic that IDF has so many cold blooded murderers in it. Nothing to be outraged about though right?
