This is another reason why I don't like Myspace. The few times I browse the system, someone's music ends up playing loud over what I'm listening to.

since the general consensus is that sound clips that play automatically are freakin' annoying, i'll be editing any posts i see with stuff like that, and handing out warnings and/or suspensions to those who feel the need to do it in excess.

if you're one of those people who posts that kind of stuff, please stop.

how about youtube ones, which don't autostart, allowing the person to click them if they wish or not ?

An addendum to lücid's reply, Swamper also allowed html to be embedded in the c0r. Banning/suspending people because they suddenly embed html would be rather stupid.
