I recently bought a Mac Pro, and for me it's been one of the best buys I've ever done. Finally I can do whatever I want, and not think about bouncing stems and stuff like that. However, I know a lot of people that get exactly the same feeling from a MacBook. To be honest, I think a MacBook and an external lcd would do the job for you and then some if you're running 30 tracks. Anyways, unless you're a gamer I would not recommend the MacBook Pro. The only big difference between that and the MacBook is the graphics card. |
i want to be able to run logic pro 7, reason 3.0, and some plung-ins
i would like to use up to like 50 tracks with effects(this would really be pushing it) per song if possible. and basiclly be able to make a finished product that would be worth sending out
i was looking at this, what do you think?? do i need to add to it or what??
a macbook pro 17" 2.33ghz
2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1680 x 1050 pixels
2GB memory
160GB hard drive1
8x double-layer SuperDrive
ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics with 256MB SDRAM
do i need to add to it or what?? i dont know how to read speed or anything. ghz and gb and all that stuff is a forgien language to me. thats probably what my problem is
i will evetually get both a book and a desk top (hopefully within a month), but i think it would be cheaper for now to learn on this.
thanks for taking the time to help me, i truly appretiate it
