Pattern clips are pretty cool, the rest isn't really that exciting - new interface, new low quality plugins you'll never actually use, new wav editor that is still sub par, blah

Have you actually used either the "low quality" plugins or the "sub par" wave editor? If not, i think you'll find those thoughts to be misconceptions. If you have used them, then what do you suggest using?

ive been using fruity since v3, so yes, I have used them.

all the inbuilt plugins are pretty terrible quality. some are ok just for little effects like highpasses etc. but i generally use waves and the classic plugins instead. i use soundforge for wav editing.

Yup, pretty handy but nothing new though.

Yeah, not really new. But now, instead of having to load up a VST that eats more CPU, i can just use a fruity plug. Thats what i like about it.

Wow, another long time user. I started using the FL demo just before version 3 came out, and bought it when v3 was released. I will agree that most of the old plugs don't really sound that great. But the new EQ actually does sound pretty good, and Edison can do everything that i would need. But yeah, i never use the Fruity Compressor and other stuff. I have found that i really like the Blue Tubes series for compression and Waves, Ohmforce, and a couple others for other effects. But i had been using the Sonalksis SV-517 for eq and i actually like the Fruity Parametric EQ 2 better. I guess a lot of it is because of the spectral analyzer thats built in.

i've been usin it since v3 and i prefer oustide plugins as well.

im not so excited about the new plugins, but rather, im more interested in edison. i hope it can replace soundforge for audio editing so i can stay in one program!

The new version of SV-517, the MKII, has a spectral analyzer built in too now. Just thought you'd find it interesting

(And ofcourse GlissEQ from Voxengo has had this feature for a long time, and you can even overlay the spectrum from multiple tracks to see where they might be fighting each other).
