As we've said, not meant to.

The ananda remix is the least boring out of the 3 mixes if you count the original. The reason I don't like it is because the track doesn't go anywhere. Anyone else agree?

Listen to 'The Leopard'. Now that's a better release which I do like:

Leopard is great, especially the Extrawelt remix. But I still think Seconds is a wonderful tune. I don't understand what you mean by it not "going anywhere".

tracks don't have to 'go anywhere' to be good, especially in the context of a mix (Audion - Mouth to Mouth)

There is little to no variation in the track which in turn makes the track sound like a long loop instead of music. That, too me, is monotonous and boring. Only very few artists can pull that off without sounding dull.

I'm tired of people making excuses for a track.
-it's not meant to go anywhere
-this track isn't meant to WOW or be impressive (so is it meant to be dull?)
-you have to listen to this at a high volume or big sound system for it to sound good.
-etc, etc, etc

It seems that I have to fullfill all those requirements in order to enjoy this track. If that's the case then allow me to say goodbye to the good ol' days of simply listening to a track and determining if I like it or not, because it appears that simplicity just doesn't cut it anymore. Instead it is being replaced by ready made recipes of opinions called 'what to...and what not to expect in a track'. I'm sorry, but if I did that I would be giving my real opinions a backseat and conforming to the standards set by you guys or in other words -modified bandwagon. If a track isn't great in any reasonable setting you play it in, then it's not great at all. It can be good, but never great.

some just dont get it, thats the beauty of it.. For me, in my head this tune can be doing wonders (perhaps the loops of certain sounds are hitting me right) for others, it doesnt hit em.

I guess it's just what you consider to be 'great.' To me, a track doesn't have to be the climax of a mix for me to thoroughly enjoy it. At the end of the day, the extent to which people enjoy a piece of music is purely subjective, so if you don't like it, you don't like it. Fair enough. We also don't all have to agree on what we like/dislike.

I'm not expecting every track in a set to be a belter but at least keeping a good flow. and considoring how good stuff Minilogue put out before this one is easily forgotten.
