when i went to europe last year i didnt experience any jetlag at all and i thought it would ruin my whole trip but that was only a 6 hour time difference. im really worried about my trip to hong kong and china in april where its gonna be a 12 hour difference. wtf is melatonin?

Gravol worked perferctly for me on the flight to Australia. I passe dout for 10 hours on the plane, which was perfect timing to wake up in the morning, AUS time.
On the way back, I found out, they gave away free beer!!! So I got pissed drunk by about 1pm on the plane, thinking it would help me sleep better if I just passed out. 6 beers later, I passed out alright, but I didn't sleep good or long. Beer adn Gravol don't seem to do the trick
It's been a week now, and finally my sleeping habit has caught up with me Snowboarding all weekend can really put your mind and body into a deep coma

Melatonin is chemical released to the brain along with serotonin when exposed to "active vitamin 'D'" The serotonin for the obligatory pleasure response and the Melatonin which facilitates the triggering of melanin to the skin as a way of protecting it from the effects of uv rays and the facilitation of metabolizing the vitamin 'D'. It's the secondary response that is in question here being that it's actually the habit forming properties of the serotonin that makes you crave sunlight on a relatively fixed schedule. ie: body clock and or a disruption of this programing. ergo, 'jet lag'

How do you get over jetlag?
If you really can't force your body into the new routine, hit the GP up for a script of "Starnoc". Most other "sleep aids" are Valium based and there for linger for up to 12 hours or more (no good), starnoc is not and is EXTREMELY fast acting and also has a very short half life. It's washout is no longer then 3 hours and is gone by the time you need to wake up. The best in my opinion as it puts you down into the proper rem you need as opposed to these light naps your having.
